HFC Challenge U13/14 Boys Tryouts
Tuesday, November 12, 2013
Thursday, November 14, 2013
U11 and U12 Challenge teams are built for the entire year (Fall ’13 and Spring ’14), so positions are only available if teams are in need of players. Positions are available in the U11 and U12 boys age groups. For more information about supplemental tryouts, please contact Carolyn Warhaftig.
Please note: there is NO Challenge programming for the U13/14 Girls in the spring. The U13/14 Girls teams are FALL-ONLY teams.

HFC Challenge Soccer Tryouts
Tryouts for the Under-13/14 Boys HFC Challenge Program will take place on Tuesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 14th. Times and fields TBA. Please register for tryouts (link above) and bring all of the necessary paperwork (copy of player’s birth certificate, medical waiver, player commitment and financial contract) to tryouts.
Under-11 and Under-12 teams for the Fall ’13 and Spring ’14 seasons have already been formed, but there is potential to add players to rosters if a team is in need of players. If you have an Under-11 or Under-12 player interested in joining the HFC Challenge Program, please contact Carolyn Warhaftig (Challenge DOC) at email@example.com.
The goal of the Challenge Training Program is to provide players experiencing success at the Recreation or Academy level an opportunity to develop the individual skills in both the technical and tactical aspects of the game. For those players not involved in our Classic Program (Highland Football Club), the Challenge Training Program offers the next best opportunity for players to gain the skills needed to bring their game to a higher level. The Challenge Program offers boys and girls teams in the Under-11 through Under-14 age groups.
Player Selection Policy:
- The average team has 11-13 players on its roster (all teams in all age groups play in the 8v8 format). Challenge trainers make all the decisions on player selection.
- Unless excused by the Challenge Director, every player must try out in his or her age group and must make every effort to attend all tryout sessions for his or her age group.
Notification of Selection:
The Challenge Director will notify via email players who have been selected or not selected. All emails will be sent as soon as possible after the initial tryout dates. It is important that you let us know if you will accept a position, if offered, as soon as possible.
For more information, please contact Carolyn Warhaftig (Challenge Director) at firstname.lastname@example.org or 828.299.7277 (Ext.306)
