HFC CLASSIC – BIRTH YEARS: 2008-1999
The goal of the HFC Classic Program is to provide talented young athletes, who possess a strong interest in soccer training and competition, an environment that will allow them to reach their maximum potential in the sport. We offer the highest level of soccer training available to youth in Western North Carolina and employ the best coaching staff available. The majority of our coaches have played soccer at the collegiate level or higher and hold coaching licenses from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Coaches in the older age groups commonly have collegiate coaching experience.
HFC CHALLENGE – BIRTH YEARS: 2007-2004
The goal of the HFC Challenge Program is to provide players experiencing success at the Recreation or Academy level an opportunity to develop the individual skills in both the technical and tactical aspects of the game. For those players not involved in our Classic Program, the Challenge Program offers the next best opportunity for players to gain the skills needed to bring their game to a higher level. The Challenge Program serves boys and girls in the Under-11 through Under-14 age groups.
HFC ACADEMY – BIRTH YEARS: 2009-2008
The goal of the HFC Academy Program is to provide select Under-9 and Under-10 players with the opportunity for accelerated development in the individual skills that soccer players must have to achieve a higher level of play. It is expected that more Under-10 players than Under-9 players will be developmentally ready to benefit from this program; however, both age groups have the opportunity to be selected. Under-9 and Under-10 is the golden age of learning for young soccer players, and HFC commits great resources to this program as a result.
