The Asheville Buncombe Youth Soccer Association (ABYSA) is a 501( c ) 3 not-for-profit organization, providing children and families in Western North Carolina with both recreational and competitive soccer programs. We provide over $70,000 per year in need-based financial assistance to players who otherwise would not have access to our programs, and we also provide outreach programming—free of charge—to groups of youth who are underserved by sports organizations in our community. As a not-for-profit recognized by the IRS, donations to ABYSA are fully tax deductible. For information about how your donation can help ABYSA reach deeper into our community or to make a donation, contact Tonya Roberts at

G.O.A.L.S. (Granting Opportunity for Advancement in Life through Soccer) allows children the opportunity to play soccer that otherwise could not.

ABYSA’s Field Development Program focuses on long term sustainability of the fields at the John B. Lewis Soccer Complex.

ABYSA offers a growing list of year-round outreach programs. Through partnerships with the YWCA, Asheville Parks & Rec, and Project March’s Children First, among others, we serve over 600 underprivileged youth in various programs. Our Go to Goal program offers after school athletic and life skills programming.
