CLT FC Pathway Strikes Again
We are delighted to share that Westin Frommel (2011, ECNL RL) has officially signed with Charlotte FC's professional academy. Frommel, who will become the fourth Highland Football Club to sign for Charlotte, will make the transition later this year.
Frommel has been a longstanding HFC player, having graduated from our Academy program into our top-level Competitive program at U10. Frommel was identified by Charlotte FC as a U12 and for the past two seasons (U12-U13) has been a part of the Discovery Program within CLT FC. This is the program that CLT FC use to discover future professional players by developing their talent through high level training while being educated by their top-level coaching staff. The U14 age group is the youngest team that Charlotte FC offers as an official MLS academy player.
We are incredibly proud and excited to see Westin's journey in Charlotte and wish him all the very best with his new challenge.
Our club is continuing to provide exciting opportunities for our players within the next level as Frommel is the fourth player to join the academy from HFC in the last 18 months: Diego Thomson, Davis Kendall and Kai Rottenburg. Along with this, we currently have a handful of players currently participating within the discovery program; who will be wanting to follow in Westin's footsteps when they are eligible for U14 selection. The pathway that Charlotte FC offer is one that is excites us and we could be happier to be their continued partner for player development.
